is a clinically tested, all-natural male enhancement supplement that promises to improve performance, enhance stamina, and deliver on-demand erections, without the side effects commonly found in the competition.
Take one capsule 30 minutes prior to intimacy, and the company claims Red Fortera’s expertly blended formula of high-quality ingredients can drastically improve erection quality and revitalize the passion in your relationship.
Because of these benefits, we’re told Red Fortera has been available on the marketplace for 10+ years and has been successfully used by hundreds of thousands of people around the globe.
But will it work for you?
In other words, can you really expect a single pill of natural ingredients to work at the same level as prescription medications from your doctor? Will Red Fortera’s supplements deliver a better sexual experience, or will it be a huge waste of time and money?
If you want to talk efficacy, you want to talk about ingredients, so that’s exactly where we’ll begin.
Here’s what each pill of Red Fortera contains, based on the label on their site:
Niacin (as vitamin B3) 80mg
Proprietary Blend 545mg: Korean Ginseng, Tribulus Terrestris, L-arginine, Maca Root Powder, L-tyrosine, Octacosanol, Cinnamon, Ginkgo Biloba, Yohimbe Bark
According to authoritative websites like WebMD and Examine.com, 500mg of niacin daily can help lower cholesterol and prevent arteriosclerosis. In turn, both of these conditions could impede blood flow and potentially lead to erectile dysfunction.
In addition, 1,400-2,700mg of Panax (not necessarily Korean) ginseng may help men with erectile dysfunction achieve an erection, while 5g per day of l-arginine may help accomplish the same.
15-30mg daily of yohimbine, the active ingredient in yohimbe, have been used to address erectile dysfunction, although the available clinical evidence doesn’t seem to support its efficacy.
Outside of this, authoritative websites report there’s insufficient clinical evidence indicating that any of Red Fortera’s ingredients can help boost your libido, improve your performance, enhance your stamina, or deliver “on-demand erections.”
And even for those that might, they’re all part of a proprietary blend, so we can’t know if Red Fortera contains enough to deliver any results.
On the other hand, prescription medications like Viagra have been clinically proven to improve blood flow and help most men (although certainly not all) achieve harder erections. And if you have health insurance, you could pay a lot less per pill for options like Viagra and Cialis than you would for Red Fortera.
What about all the manufacturer’s “clinically tested” talk, though?
According to the supplement’s website, Red Fortera was part of a 7-week randomized, double-blind, and placebo-controlled trial involving healthy men. In the end, we're told the supplement:
Increased sexual satisfaction rating of their partner’s erection quality/hardness by 18%
13% improvement in arousal rating
12% in erectile quality and performance
26% increase in female partner satisfaction
At first glance, these results might seem astounding, although Josh Bloom of the American Council on Science and Health writes a fairly scathing analysis in ED Supplement Claims Don’t Stand Up to Scrutiny.
In a nutshell, outside of the fact that only healthy men (vs. those experiencing erection quality issues) participated, he indicates that 18% is a fairly small difference and that, at 12%, the erectile quality and performance measurement is less than a placebo. He also attempted to reach out to the company for a company of this study and was met with a brick wall.
What about side effects?
While the clinical evidence supporting many of the manufacturer’s claims might be missing, the good news is that authoritative websites tell us you probably won’t have to worry about any side effects worse than mild digestive upset with Red Fortera.
The most commonly reported side effect associated with niacin is flushing, while l-arginine can sometimes cause allergies, worsening of asthma, and low blood pressure. Be sure to keep this last point in mind if you’re taking blood pressure medication.
Ginkgo has been known to cause dizziness, forceful heartbeat, and allergic skin reactions in some individuals, and we’re told there isn’t enough information to know if octacosanol is safe.
If purchased directly from the manufacturer, Red Fortera is available in four options:
1 Capsule w/Sexual Powerhouse Membership: Free, plus $9.99 S&H
1 Capsule: $15 plus $9.99 S&H
3 Capsules: $39.99 plus free S&H
6 Capsules: $89.99 plus free S&H
If you choose the first, third, or fourth option, you’ll be enrolled in the Sexual Powerhouse membership. What’s this mean?
14 days after placing your order, you’ll be shipped a new kit (six capsules) and charged $79.99. From there, you’ll continue receiving a new kit every 30 days and charged $79.99 each time.
If you’d like to avoid this autoship program, four capsules of Red Fortera could also be purchased from Amazon and Walmart.com for about the same price.
Through the company, all Red Fortera orders come with a 30-day money back guarantee, less S&H. In order to request one, or to cancel your automatic shipments, customer support can be reached at 800-240-9403 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Now, given what we’ve learned from authoritative websites about the efficacy of Red Fortera’s ingredients, are the supplement’s customers finding these high per-pill prices valuable?
Among 26 customer reviews on Amazon, Red Fortera had an average rating of 3.1 stars at the time of our research. There, most compliments related to improved erection quality, stamina, and performance, while the most common complaint—like any nutritional supplement from any company—was no results.
From a company perspective, Red Fortera is manufactured by Next Gen Health Solutions, LLC based out of New Rochelle, NY. They had a C Better Business Bureau rating based on just one closed complaint (as of 2/20/17), with no details available.
The manufacturer’s website consisted of only a single page, with no other products listed.
On a per-pill basis, Red Fortera is undoubtedly the highest priced nutritional supplement the HighYa team has reviewed to date, including options with many of the same ingredients like RevTest, RexVar, and Lifeforce T-2000.
Can you expect a lot of value for this price?
We didn’t test the supplement ourselves, so we can’t provide any firsthand feedback. Looking at the clinical evidence as reported by authoritative websites, though, it doesn’t seem that Red Fortera’s ingredients will pack much of a punch.
Additionally, online customer feedback seemed mixed—and keep in mind that the majority of Amazon reviews were not verified purchases at the time of writing.
But the reality is that this scenario is fairly common among this supplement niche, which you can read more about in Do Testosterone Boosters Really Work?
The bottom line is that, from a physical perspective, erections are all about blood flow. As such, it makes sense that the greater the circulation to your penis, the firmer the erection you’ll experience.
However, only two of Red Fortera’s ingredients have sufficient clinical evidence showing they might improve circulation (Panax ginseng and l-arginine), although you could pick up individual bottles of each for a combined total as low as $20.
But the reality is that any aspect of physical intimacy—including erection quality—can also be heavily impacted by emotional and mental factors. For this reason alone, we think you might get the most value for your hard-earned money by speaking with your doctor.
Then, you can inquire about whether or not Red Fortera’s ingredients—and high price—will deliver value based on your specific diagnosis.
